| Pirate's Lookout |
 The view from Pirates Lookout in 1935: Whalebone Point in the distance, Savary Shores still just a twinkle in some developper's eyes. A section of eroding cliff just West of Garnet Point that for many years was called Pirates Lookout. The cliff is lower there, so the kids used to slide down it to get to the beach. Much erosion ensued. It continues to this day. Here's a map done by Frankie Keefer in the 1940s that shows exactly where the Lookout was located.  |
