Candystick
(Aka Allotropa virgata | sugarstick | barber's pole | devil's wand)

A red and white striped herb, it is the only species in its genus, and is only found in Western North America.

On Savary, they've been seen on the inland dune ecosystem. It is parasitic on the fungi in the leaf litter beneath conifers.
